About the Artist
Hello! My name is Sadie Jayne Hanny, I am a 21 year old digital and traditional illustrator from south-east Idaho. I have always felt a great love for art, cartoons, anime, video games, and music; basically, The Arts. I am a firm believer that everyone is a great artist, and no one can create the same way as another person. Art has a profound effect on human beings, and I hope I can one day share my art in a meaningful way.
I have been drawing my whole life, I never considered it a hobby I chose to try out. It is who I am, and in my early childhood, that fire manifested as snake-like dragons scribbled with permanent marker on the condominium walls (which I’d also add, my mother was very patient and supportive of my toddler vandalism.) I always had a fascination with making fantasy art, such as the aforementioned dragons, and other magical creatures. As I grew into my teenage years, I found myself gravitating towards anime and Japanese art styles, which I did not exactly make my own until after high-school graduation. I went through a notable animal phase, which turned into “furry” and anthropomorphic art. These subjects gradually faded in my art as I became more interested in human subjects, but I still hold a great affection for that genre of art and the members of the furry community, and will occasionally contribute, still. These days, I focus most of my artistic energy towards establishing a fictional universe of my own, with characters I’ve created & revised over time. In my spare time, I am also co-creating a computer game with my brother, Adam. On the “characters” page, you’ll see many rough draft sketches of characters for our unfinished project. Thank you so much for visiting and reading, if you have any questions, concerns, or other inquiries regarding my art or availability for commission, please click the “contact” button and send me a message. Remember, creating is never a waste of time. It is the greatest ability God has blessed humans with. - Sadie (Kureihii) |
